On April 22, we celebrated Earth Day. In its eco-responsible approach, the SIR wished to contribute in favor of the environment with a local action: planting trees to promote the reforestation of Swiss forests. Trees are an effective resource in the fight against global warming and the maintenance of biodiversity. The SIR decided to collaborate with the Allmighty Tree organization on their project in Froideville (VD) and to plant 4 Douglas firs and 4 red oaks. Such a project was necessary to replace weakened spruce trees attacked by bark beetle.
