The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you about the type of personal data of natural persons collected by SIR SA (the “Personal Data”), the nature and purposes of the processing of the Personal Data and your rights in this context.
This privacy policy is as important to you as it is to us.
It ensures that you have a positive and safe experience when using our services. For SIR SA, protecting the confidentiality and respect of your Personal Data is paramount.
We protect your privacy by ensuring the protection, confidentiality, non-alteration, availability and security of the Personal Data you entrust to us on all our communication channels.
To this end, we apply technical and organizational measures in accordance with applicable data protection law.
This Privacy Policy applies to you if you are :
- SIR SA customer; or
- As a visitor to SIR SA, you are browsing the SIR SA website (the “Site”).
You are informed and agree that it is your responsibility to pass on the information contained in this privacy policy to any individuals about whom you provide us with information and/or about whom information is otherwise brought to our attention in the course of our business relationship.

- WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU?
We process the Personal Data we obtain from you as part of our business relationship, when you use our Site or when we communicate with you (for example when you use our form on the contact page when you have a question or when you use our request for quotation form).
We may also process Personal Data that we collect indirectly through external sources, in particular public sources (e.g. publications or databases).
Personal Data includes, inter alia:
- contact data: surname, first name, postal address, billing address, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth;
- financial information: bank details and billing information;

We process your Personal Data in particular for the following purposes:

- provide you with information about our services, products and special offers;
- send you administrative information (e.g. invoices); and
- for any other purpose connected with the performance and management of our contractual relations.
ii. To comply with our legal obligations:
- respond to a request from a judicial or administrative authority;
- fulfill our transaction reporting obligations.

Furthermore, we would like to point out that if we need to carry out any other processing for purposes other than those set out above, we undertake to inform you and, if necessary, seek your consent.
- WHO PROCESSES YOUR DATA?
Various internal departments of SIR SA may have access to your Personal Data. We do not share your Personal Data with third parties.
- TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION
We store your data in Switzerland only. We do not transfer your data to any other third country.
- HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA?
Your Personal Data is kept by SIR SA only for the time necessary to carry out the processing operations described in Question 2 above.
We retain your Personal Data only to the extent and for the duration necessary to perform our services or where we are required to do so by law.
The Personal Data you provide directly by sending us an e-mail will be used to create your profile, reply to your message or provide the information requested. Similarly, when you request contact or a quotation, we will collect your Personal Data in order to respond to your request.
You can obtain further information about the length of time we keep your Personal Data or the criteria used to determine this length of time, by contacting us at the address provided in Question 10 below.
- WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE AND HOW TO EXERCISE THEM?
6.1 Your rights
Subject to applicable regulations, you have the right, in relation to your Personal Data :
- access your Personal Data and obtain information about how SIR SA processes your Personal Data;
- to object to the processing of your Personal Data;
- have your Personal Data corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- to request the limitation of the processing of your Personal Data;
- to withdraw at any time the consent given for the processing of Personal Data (it being specified that, in such a case: (i) we are nevertheless authorized to continue the processing if we have another justifying reason; and (ii) the withdrawal of consent does not render previous processing unjustified);
- to request the deletion of your Personal Data when it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected or processed or when you have withdrawn your consent (in cases where the processing of the Personal Data in question is based on your consent), subject to the applicable retention periods (see Question 5 above); and
- the right to obtain additional information from the contact person whose details are given under Question 10 below and, if you consider that the answer given is not satisfactory, the right to contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner(https://www.edoeb.admin.ch/edoeb/fr/home.html).
Even if you object to the processing of your Personal Data, we are entitled to continue such processing if it is (i) legally required, (ii) necessary for the performance of the contract you are party to, (iii) necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or (iv) necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by us, including the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
However, we will not use your Personal Data for direct marketing purposes if you ask us not to do so (a request you can make at any time).
If we do not have certain Personal Data about you (or if you exercise your right to object to the processing of Personal Data), we may not be able to provide you with the service or product for which the processing of such Personal Data is required.

We will send you a reply within one (1) month of receiving your request.
- DO WE USE COOKIES ON OUR SITE?
7.1 What types of cookies are present on the Site?
There is only one type of cookie that you may encounter when browsing the Site. Deleting them may make browsing the Site more difficult.
7.2 Managing cookies placed on your terminal
You can choose at any time to accept or refuse that one or more cookies be saved on your device, except those necessary for the operation of the Site, using the settings tool of your browser software.

We implement a variety of technical and organizational measures to preserve the security and integrity of your personal information.
